P.G.I. Crete (Protected Geographical Indication)
Dry red
Monovarietal red expression of the "unruly" Mandilaria that often needs a blending partner to soften its intensely tannic character. In the case of Hestia, the wine has been created to highlight its accessible aspect, with beautifully crafted tannins, a complex aromatic bouquet and refreshing acidity.
Bright, ruby, medium intensity color. Expressive aromas of dark fruits such as cherry and plum that combine nicely with notes of licorice and vanilla in a perfectly balanced whole. Elegant and full of freshness taste with noticeable but refined tannins and a cherry aftertaste. It has the structure and flavor depth to be favored by further aging.

Red meats on the grill or slow-cooked in the oven, white and red meats in braised sauce, antikristos or lamb on the spit, burgers, sausages, pasta with minced meat, varieties with gruyere and cold cuts platters.
