Dry red
Idaia red belongs to the classic series of the winery, and is created by the combination of two great indigenous red grapes of Crete that complement each other and mature for several months in oak barrels and a few years in the bottle. The purpose is to express the wealth of the Cretan land and to reach the consumer when he has unfolded his character. It is a wine with consistently good value for money that can stand with equal ease in both the simplest everyday occasion and the most special.
Deep red color with purple highlights. Complex aromatic profile that focuses on fresh fruit expressed with sour cherries, blackberries and plums which are subtly embraced by notes of oak that refer to tobacco, spicy spices and chocolate but also some hints of leather. Its taste is quite rich with ripe tannins, concentrated fruit and a long aftertaste.

Grilled or braised red meats, meats with mushroom sauces, slow-cooked game, mushroom risotto, cold cuts varieties, mature cheeses.
