Colour: bright golden.
Nose: ripe stone fruit, lemon/citrus, with the oak contributing toasted, nutty and vanilla notes.
Palate: full-bodied and powerful, but with the high natural acidity typical of Santorini Assyrtiko. Mineral, rich and very long. A 2022 tasting by Jancis Robinson described the 2019 as rich and ripe, with a lees-textured palate and a deep, long finish, scoring it 17.5/20.
Serving: 14–16°C according to the winery.
Food: shellfish, seafood, grilled fish, white meat with sauce, grilled meats and mature fatty cheeses.
