Thrapsathiri
P.G.I. Crete (Protected Geographical Indication)
Dry white
Our Thrapsathiri is one of the first single-varietal expressions of this up-and-coming Cretan grape and our winery was one of the first to believe in its potential. The high altitude from which the fruit comes and the care in the winery lead to a very expressive wine that beautifully combines oiliness and volume with freshness and acidity and exoticism with greener elements. A wine that seems to unite two worlds, the old with the new, just like the geographical position of Crete, which is the southernmost tip of Europe.
Bright lemon-green color. Complex charming aroma where stone fruits and exotic fruits are combined very beautifully with citrus fruits on a background of pepper, white flowers and minerality. Rich taste with creamy texture, refreshing acidity and a very nice lasting and spicy aftertaste.

Fish and seafood with all cooking methods, poultry and white meats with white sauces, lamb in the pot with lemon sauces, pasta, stews, cheeses, risotto and rich
