Vrana Petra is a distinguished single-vineyard red wine crafted by Apostolos Thymiopoulos, a leading figure in Greek winemaking. Made exclusively from the indigenous Xinomavro grape, it originates from the Naoussa PDO region in northern Greece.

• Location: A single parcel near Trilofos village, planted 44 years ago.
• Altitude: Approximately 200 meters.
• Soil: Limestone-rich with high quartz and schist content.
• Microclimate: A warm climate moderated by Mediterranean breezes and cool air descending from Mount Vermio, resulting in significant diurnal temperature variations and relatively low temperatures despite the low altitude.

🍒 Tasting Notes

Vrana Petra showcases a complex bouquet of red fruits such as strawberry, cherry, and raspberry, complemented by floral notes like rose and lavender, and hints of herbs and spices including thyme, rosemary, pepper, and nutmeg. On the palate, it offers a harmonious balance between elegance and concentration, with medium tannins, full body, refreshing acidity, and a lingering finish.
